Best Buys From E-mail Marketing

Best Buys From E-mail Marketing

E-mail marketing is a tricky thing for ‘Marketiers’ to get right, even for the most welcoming consumer like myself. I mean, I love the idea of special offers being sent straight to my inbox, but in reality, most e-mail marketing I receive is just untargeted spam.

These eshots as some people call them, are the bane of many people’s lives. If you’re a neat freak with borderline OCD like me, you’re likely to keep your inbox tidy making unwanted unsolicited e-mails most unwelcome. But is all email marketing just spam?

I have to say, I rarely ever purchase anything from e-mails I receive – in fact, I find myself unsubscribing or deleting the e-mail without a second thought which means I don’t even get to see the products they’re promoting. But on the odd occasion I do see something I like. I once bought a coat from a popular US label – it was £180 throughout the season and I eventually bought it through a sale e-mail for £39… Total. Bargain.

The trick is to only subscribe to retailers you know, like and trust. Ones that don’t abuse the fact they have your e-mail address on a database and respect that pushing products on you isn’t likely to be received well.

Have you ever picked up a total bargain from an eshot you received from a company? I want to know!
