Girl’s Guide To Windows 7

Windows 7 hit the shelves today and its definitely a must-have tech-accessory.

We’re gonna talk a bit of geek-chic for a moment so I can tell you about the next big operating system that is set to take the world by storm…

That’s right, Windows 7 is here, and luckily for you I’ve bought it, installed it and now I’m going to tell you about it.

At a first glance, Windows 7 is extremely similar to Windows Vista, in that functions the same way and much of its navigation is the same.

The first major difference that you’ll notice straight away is the speed. It’s so much quicker than Vista when you run programs, and when you’re just browsing your PC files.

Another addition is that Windows 7 now has a ‘dock-like’ task bar – similar to the Mac’s where you can pin your favourite programs to it as a shortcut without cluttering up your desktop.

Oh, and another totally cool feature is that they’ve finally updated Microsoft Paint! It is now very much the same as the Microsoft Office 2007 layout and has some cool new features to play around with…

The only con that I’ve managed to find so far with Windows 7 is it’s very similar to Vista (except for how much quicker it is). I’d certainly advise getting it if you’re buying a new Desktop or Laptop but unless you’ve got the money to burn – I wouldn’t necessarily upgrade right now.

Put simply, Windows 7 is pretty, fast, fabulous and simple.
