Men hate needy girls because it tells them that they’re likely to be insecure. Men know that insecurities need constant reassurance which spells effort to them – not a word the male species are overly fond of. If you don’t want to seem needy then make sure you carefully conceal your insecurities – at least during the early stages of your relationship.

Neediness = No Life

Neediness often comes from being bored or not having a lot else in your life to fill up your time. If your life is your man then you’re going to instantly have the red flags waving in his head – triggering his rejection reflex. Your best bet is to make sure you’re constantly busy – working, seeing your girlfriends, going out…you get the picture. Men like girls who are worth chasing and what’s worth chasing about a girl that sits in on her own every night?

Limit Your Presence

Following from the previous point, you should limit how often you allow yourself to see him. Although it can be hard at first, ensuring you’re not always available will show him that you have other plans and will reinforce that you’re a prize worth having. If you see each other too much in the early stages, it’ll undoubtedly kill the honeymoon period prematurely which will serious damage your chances of staying together.

Give It Time

After a few months of being together if you still feel needy and insecure about your relationship then sit down and talk with him. Explain how you feel in a rational way and come to agreement about what you both want. Unfortunately you won’t be able to have this sort of discussion until you’ve been with him between 4-6 months for fear of seeming even more needy – so hold on!
