Christmas Breakups
It seems to me that break ups are more likely to happen over the holiday season. Despite the overwhelming sense of joy and togetherness that the holiday season brings, so many couples succumb to the pressures of Christmas and sadly part ways. Take a quick look at the ways you can stop a break up with your partner this holiday season and start the new year as a continuation – not a fresh.
Spending Too Much Time Together
Most people take time off work over the holiday season which means you’ll have more time to spend with each other than normal. Be careful though as spending too much time together could drive the pair of you further apart. Most married couples see each other morning and night, with time apart during the day which is usually spent at work. When you feel like you’re annoying each other – have some time apart!
Growing More Attached To Each Other
Spending more time together will make you more used to being in each other’s company, and harder for you to do things separately. Make an agreement that you won’t spend every day in each other’s pockets and stick to it. Don’t allow yourself to become joint at the hip because when you stop seeing each other as much, it’ll be difficult for you both to adjust to, putting pressure on your relationship and making it more likely you’ll argue.
Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder
Having time apart over the festive period will ensure that you don’t get sick of the sight of each other. Meet up with your friends, see your family or just have some time out for yourself. Whatever you do, give yourselves some time to miss each other – it’s harder to argue when all you want to do is snuggle because you’ve missed them!
