Aphrodisiac Food – Boost Your Sex Drive
Chocolate
Cocoa contains a chemical called phenylethylamine which is a stimulant that creates the sort of feelings of happiness and excitement that makes sex such a great thing to do!
Vanilla
Vanillia is not only delicious, but it also increases your senses – so next time you crack open that ice-cream you won’t feel so guilty.
Hot Chillies
Capsaicin is a chemical found in fiery peppers and chillies which increases circulation and stimulates nerve endings so you’ll feel more turned on and your sense of ‘feeling’ during sex with be hightened…definitely worth the heat.

Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew. Oysters as an aphrodisiac are totally cliche now but apparently they work. Mike and I have tried these once and I nearly gagged! That said, these shellfish are full of zinc, a mineral ups the amount of testosterone being produced…and we all know what happens then!

Aside from relaxing you quicker than a bubble bath, red wine contains resveratrol which is an antioxidant that helps boost blood flow and improves circulation before and during sex – as well as giving you a little dutch courage before the event takes place!
Salmon & Walnuts
Both of these tasty treats are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which keep your sex-hormone production at its peak. Pumpkin seeds and flaxseeds also contain the good stuff so make sure you keep a stash of them in your cupboards!
Watermelon
This delicious (low calorie) fruit contains phytonutrient citrulline which leads to an increase in the amount of nitric oxide in your body (blah blah blah science I know).
