Keira Knightley Quits Acting?

Isn’t Keira Knightley the most gorgeous Actress on the planet (apart from Angelina Jolie?!) Anyway, apparently Keira has revealed that she came close to retiring from acting recently…just imagine a movie world without Keira Knightley – oh no!

In Keira’s latest film, London Boulevard, she takes to the screen with actor hunk, Colin Farrell (who I’m told does a really poor British accent). However Keira has admitted that she nearly abandoned her career in acting after becoming unsatisfied at the age of 22!

“I wasn’t enjoying what I was doing and I felt terribly guilty about that. I remember hating the idea that I was in a privileged position and couldn’t see the point of any of it,” Keira told Vogue magazine. “I had worked solidly since I was 16, till 22, and I had not been on holiday in all of that time. I didn’t know if I was going to go back to acting at all, I think for a long time I thought I wouldn’t. I intended not to work again.”

I guess that’s what you get for being a young star – I’d love to be in the financial position she’s in, I’d travel the world and start doing some good…then come back to acting later when it’s all new and fresh again.
