Why Do Men Cheat?

9 times out of 10 the reason a man cheats will have little or nothing to do with you…so why is it that men are easily led astray?

1. The Mystery

Once the honeymoon period has worn off and it’s time to face real life and men often find it difficult to cope with. It’s not about the person, or usually what they look like – it’s the intrigue and excitement that stimulates the idea to cheat…which would explain why cheating men often sleep with women far less attractive than their partners. Try and keep an ‘air of mystery’ around yourself and occasionally indulge in his fantasies to remove his mysterious appetite.

2. Low Self-Esteem

I think you’d be surprised how many men cheat purely because they have self-esteem issues. Whether it’s you giving them a hard time at home or their boss at work, men often use cheating as a way to prove their masculinity and boost their self-esteem. Try and give your man a regular ego massage to keep him feeling masculine.

3. His Mate Did It

You’d be amazed to what extent male stupidity will go. If your man sees his mate cheat on his girlfriend and get away with it there’s a good chance that he’ll think he can too. If you know that one of his mates has cheated then make it absolutely clear what sanctions he’ll face if he commits the same crime.

4. She Understands Him

The ‘Other Woman’ will always play the ‘I’d Make A Great Girlfriend Card’ – and of course she will – so did we in the beginning. She probably doesn’t mind him watching sports, going out with the guys and indulging in the occasional porn movie but little does he know that magic would quickly wear off. Try and play the ‘Cool Girlfriend’ card now and again to score points and remind him how lucky he really is.

5. It’s The End

I’m afraid that the final reason men cheat is because they feel the relationship has already ended. It’s cowardly and hurtful but if he cheats on you – he won’t have to break up with you because you’ll do the honours. Don’t put up with his bad behaviour because you’ll only hurt yourself in the long term, if you think it’s the end too – ditch him.
