When You Shouldn’t Text Him
Texting has changed the way in which we interact with each other, and with it, the rules of the dating game. Text messaging has become an emotional mine field where one wrong step can blow up your chances of success…but to help, check out these 5 times you shouldn’t text him.
Straight After A Date
Resist the urge to contact him right after a date. You’ve just spent an amazing evening together, so why do you need to text him? If he texts you first then send him a short, intriguing reply – otherwise, leave him wondering what you’re up to. Texting him straight after a date makes you look too available…just remember, he likes to have someone to chase.
When You Are Drunk
This is just a total no-go area. Leave your phone at home or give it to a trusted friend to look after – do whatever you have to do, just don’t take your phone out with you! Texting him while you’re drunk will result in you revealing feelings you should probably keep to yourself and that are more than likely to scare him off – remember, much like water and electricity, phones and alcohol don’t mix!
When You Are Angry
I understand how frustrated and angry guys can make us but putting these feelings into a text message is a relationship killer! The problem with text messages is they can be saved, read again or read back to you which means you could be paying for your anger even after the feeling has gone. Whatever the angry text is for, it’s not going to get you what you want so cool off…
When You Are Being Sarcastic
Sarcasm or any other type of communication which can only be read through the inflection in a person’s voice is best kept away from text messages. It’s hard to know how the written word should be taken so keep things simple. Avoid sending messages like “You’re such a jerk sometimes!” even if you’re being flirty…he may take offence and you certainly won’t hear from him again.
Every Time He Texts
Being unavailable is the best way to keep him chasing and raise his interest in you. Texting him back as soon as he’s text you suggests that you’re constantly waiting to hear from him. Try leaving it a few hours and then tell him about everything you’ve been up to…put it this way, if he’s waiting for a text back, he’s constantly thinking about you.
