Do You Wear & Return?
I read in the paper this morning that one in three women wear a dress out and then return it to the store the day after…
After giving it a bit of thought, I still can’t decide whether this idea makes you too tight for your own good or a bloody genius – we are in a recession I guess.
According to the same survey, the typical outfit worn and returned costs an average of £70, so we aren’t even talking a cheap dresses ladies we’re talking mid-range fashion here…how shameful!
I’ve never worn something and returned it myself (which probably explains my huge credit card bills!). But I guess in the case of a big occasion where looking fabulous isn’t a choice and more an obligation, then I guess it would be ok to wear and return something.
Not only that, I think retail outlets charge extortionate prices for clothes and I don’t see why you can’t wear a dress and return it as long as it’s in resell-able condition. Though I have to say, if I found out that I was wearing something some other guy had partied in – I would be back in that store quicker than you could say ‘Drama!’ So I guess I’m a hippocite really.
What does everyone else think about this – do you wear and return clothes or is the very idea the cheapest thing since Primark/Sears? I want to know all!
