Health Benefits Of Drinking Tea
If you’re like me you’ll always have a mug in your hand or the kettle boiling. Mike’s constantly telling me I drink too much tea but here something that made me smile.
UK nutritionists have found that drinking tea not only re-hydrates your body as well as water does, but also protects you against heart disease and some forms of cancer.
Regular consumption of the UK’s No.1 drink can help protect against breast and skin cancers in addition to showing signs of being an anti-inflammatory, anti-thrombotic, anti-viral and anti-bacterial. As if that wasn’t enough, it can also be responsible for lowering cholesterol – all in that little tea cup!
Scientific evidence also suggests that drinking tea reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and strokes and is believed to tackle obesity as it can increase the rate of your metabolism.
So what’s a healthy amount of tea to drink a day you ask? Researchers recommend that we drink between 3 and 5 cups a day to receive the maximum health benefits that tea has to offer.
Many people believe that tea dehydrates you when in actual fact it can offer more nutrients and hydration than water can. It’s also commonly thought that only green tea contains anti-oxidants, which is complete nonsense (totally good news because it tastes gross!)
So put the kettle on girls, take a seat and and sip as much tea as you want!
