Condoms As Popular As The Pill

Open your handbag right now and take a look inside. You’ll probably find a lipstick, some make-up, maybe even some medicine… But how about contraception? In particular… Condoms?

Yes, jonnies, rubbers, jimmy hats… whatever you like to call them. It doesn’t make you cheap to be prepared. And the good news is that the old willy warmers have finally become as popular as the pill, according to newspapers today.

It’s the first time condoms have been as fashionable as the contraception tablet. One in four women now use rubbers both to stop getting pregnant and ward off sexual transmitted infections, according to the Daily Mirror.

The statistics released today are great news that things are finally moving in the right direction. Too often I hear of guys in long term relationships getting lazy and relying on their partner to sort out contraception, leaving the condoms to gather dust.

I even hear of women having sex without condoms because guys moan they make it less enjoyable. I tell them to imagine how enjoyable a nice itchy infection would feel or supporting an un-wanted child for the rest of your life. Worth the rubber? I think so. No one likes a selfish lover.

So if you’re partner refuses to wear a condom or has decided to leave contraception all up to you – let him know it’s never been more trendy to slip on a Johnny.
