X Factor Voting Revealed

Oh my, what shall we do with ourselves now X Factor is all over? Well, the first thing I did was check out the X Factor Voting Statistics that were released today… and my oh my, there are some big surprises…

Firstly, did you know the even though Olly Murs came second, he never once won a public vote… ever. In fact, the week when he went up against twins Jedward in the bottom two was his lowest ever score… If it wasn’t for the judges giving John and Edward to boot deadlock would have seen Olly sent home. It’s surprising then that he made it to the finals…

In fact if you study the statistics, Olly shouldn’t have been in the final at all. Danyl and Joe tie with winning three weeks each, and Stacey won two shows.

Another surprise is Rachel Adedeji, who came top in Week 3, Big Band Week, with the most number of votes, only to then be sent home the following week, Rock Week.

What’s nice is that Joe missed out on the most number of votes in the early weeks but managed to secure the top spot in the last 3 weeks running up to the final, seemingly winning over the voting public. Although I was backing him from the beginning.

All in all I’m not sure if this shows the voting public have much power at all, other than deciding who the overall winner is.
