X Factor Not Christmas #1
Oh my gosh can you believe it?! X Factor has failed to make Christmas number 1 this year after sweeping the title previously for consecutive years. I can’t say that I’m sorry about this because quite frankly, it’s about time someone campaigned for change.
Saying that, it’s with great regret to say that Rage Against The Machine beat Joe McElderry with their 90′s track ‘Killing In The Name’. The band created a huge campaign on Facebook and sold their record through digital sales on iTunes & Amazon. Clever stuff if you ask me as a simple bit of Facebooking entirely ruined what ITV have been campaigning for since the start of the show in October.
I feel sorry for Joe as it’ll really knock the wind out of him but lets face it, the poor guy doesn’t fit into any popular category of music. It just goes to show the power of Facebook really doesn’t it?! Overall I can’t say I’m overly bothered!
