Whitney Houston X Factor Performance

Tonight the diva of all divas Whitney Houston made her UK comeback on X Factor along with judge Cheryl Cole, who amazed fans with her killer military outfit and sharp dance moves, while performing her new single, “Fight For This Love.”

It was great to see Whitney smiling and belting out her new hit “Million Dollar Bill,” but all didn’t seem well with the star after a wardrobe malfunction; her dress snapping at the back. She carried on as a true professional but half heartedly, bobbing her head to the track and smiling as if wanting the ground to open up and swallow her.

And it only got worse in the interview with presenter Dermot afterwards. She struggled to remember when her Tour was landing in the UK. And when asked what she thought of the contestants she smiled and slurred out, “Let me see how to put this good…” paused for what seemed eternity with her face in her hands and then continued, “They’re young…they’ve got room to grow…and, like Clive Davis told me, practice, practice, practice.”

Well… Dermot was quick to rap things up after that. It’s a real shame Whitney didn’t do more tonight to shake off her drug-filled past. It’s hardly fair to say she was on something, but she didn’t do much to prove otherwise.
