Ugly Betty Axed

It’s a sad day for Ugly Betty fans as the show’s producers have announced that the fourth series of Ugly Betty will be the last.

Just when Betty was beginning her transformation too…will we ever get to see her completely shed her ‘ugly’ exterior?

The show debuted in 2006, and since then, Emmy Award-winning America Ferrera’s on screen alter ego has been turned into an international household name. Filming for the fourth and final season will finish late Spring – I’m dead excited to see how it ends!

Executive producers of the show Silvia Horta and Steve McPherson announced:

“We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion.

“We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.”

That’s not it though! Liza Minnelli is set to follow in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham, Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Lohan, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and show producer Salma Hayek by making a special guest appearance…oh my, the gays will be pleased!
