Robbie and Gary Shame on BBC Radio 1

Robbie and Gary Shame on BBC Radio 1

Excited! Live from BBC Radio One this morning, Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow finally back together – and their new single Shame… have a listen and watch the sneak peak of the video from BBC TV.

This is the first time the pair will have performed together in 15 years and tbh, it’s not at all what I was expecting. Considering Gary’s recent hits with Take That, I was looking forward to a big power ballad with epic strings and spine chilling riffs. Instead we’ve got a rather chilled out, almost ‘country’ sounding strip back of Gary, Robbie and a guitar. And you know what… I kinda like it. There is enough magic surrounding this record – it was a great shout to strip it all back.

Now – the video… I didn’t quite know what to expect. It was always going to be slightly cheesy – two men singing to one another always is. BUT – like a good bottle of vino these two boys both seem to have improved with age – so it’s not exactly difficult to watch. I think the scene where they spooch has been taken out – shame – big shame. :)

All in all it’s amazing to see these two back performing together. They look amazing and sound just brilliant. And they told Chris Moyles on BBC Radio One this morning that the new Take That (5 piece) material would be out as soon as November, with the full album already recorded! You can catch Shame in stores and online at the start of October and on Robbie’s Greatest Hits at the end of October.

What do you think girls?
