‘Nine’ Opening Scene…

Rich and I just caught ‘Nine’ at the cinema and our opinions couldn’t be more different about it. I loved it – he… didn’t! Although yes, it did drag in places and could have been put on screen a little better, the opening 4 minutes of the show are just brilliant. The introduction of each important women in the main character’s life was shown with nothing but music and clever staging. Very Very Good…. Some big stars in this one, Sophia Loren, Judi Dench and Marion Cotillard shone for me as Guido’s mother, costume designer and wife, while Nicole Kidman and Penélope Cruz brought some hollywood glamour and Black Eye’d Peas Fergie got fat for her role as… well… the whore….
