Kim Cattrall Inspiration At 53

Blimey! It’s official, Kim Cattrall looks bloody amazing at 53! This new pic on page three of the Mirror newspaper today was brought to my attention by most of the blokes in my office, gawking and pining over someone twice their age. But why shouldn’t they? Look at her! Even the girls were stunned…

Unlike many women attempting to hang onto their youth, Kim’s complexion isn’t botoxed and stretched to an inch of her life, nor does she flaunt a pair of silicon pumped boobs. So what is it about Kim Cattrall that makes her sexy when most 53 year olds consider they’ve well and truly past their sell-by date?

Admittedly her amazing figure is largely down to hard work and determination at the gym and perhaps to an odd nip or tuck. In today’s paper she confesses she struggles with her weight like every other woman, but that doesn’t stop her getting in great shape.

But I’d argue that Kim’s body is not what makes us all stop and stare. Yes, I agree it helps, but what makes her sexy and what transfixes all the men in the office is her confidence and her self-belief that should inspire women everywhere.

Now you may laugh, but Rich’s Great Grandma (who’s 80-something by the way) has completely the same outlook on life. Sure she doesn’t flaunt her body or work out at the gym 7 days a week like Kim, but her age will never be a reason to stop doing anything. She’ll try anything and is normally out socialising with her husband (Rich’s Great Grandfather) more than Rich and I. I’ve never met another woman like her. She inspires me.

Now, we all know the people who try to crucify women who don’t let age beat them. But why should age be a reason to not be as confident and content as you were in your youth?

Short answer… it isn’t.

No matter what your age, print off this picture and put it on the mirror you use to get ready. I guarantee it will remind you of the sexy, sassy Samantha within yourself and as long as you don’t start going shopping in nothing but underwear, I’d argue it’s not a bad thing at all.
