Kate Moss Pro-Anorexic

Kate Moss was talking out of her ass yesterday claiming that “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” in a rare interview. What the hell is she playing at?

This motto is used by pro-anorexic websites such as ‘Starving For Control’ to promote the idea that girls shouldn’t eat in order to get down to size zero.

Does she not realise she’s a role model for millions of women? Does she not understand that encouraging girls to starve could put the blood of thousands of young women on her hands?

katemossI really want to believe that this statement was taken completely out of context because I really like Kate Moss. But whether it is or isn’t, she should watch what she says in future.

There’s far too much emphasis on size in today’s world. You’re too big or you’re too small – I can’t remember the last time someone in the public eye said they were happy with their weight… And weren’t smirked about in the process.

  1. wow, that’s just sad.

  2. I think it’s a strange thing for her to say in the first place. Kate Moss is clearly of a slim build, she’s likely to moniter what she’s eating anyway, but I don’t think she has to work too hard. I don’t see her as a woman who restricts her intake of food. She was probably referring to her build, and forgetting that some people reach her size through dangerous, unhealthy means. An absentminded, albeit slightly vain comment from Kate there. Think more carefully before you speak next time Moss.

  3. To be honest, this was believed to be the motto of Weightwatchers when the group first started and although this type of comment can influence young people who are starving themselves, and therefore seem irresponsible, it may also jolt some overweight people into realising that food is not their friend and it may actually do some good. Obesity will kill a large percentage of the population, far more than anorexia will and so one could argue that this type of message may be a kickstart to sensible eating/exercising. I feel that this comment can be viewed both ways.
