Joe McElderry Wins The X Factor

It was officially announced last night that Joe McElderry is the winner of the UK X Factor 2009.

Both Joe and Olly took to the stage to battle it out on the X Factor final. Both contestants sung the winner’s single, ‘The Climb’, originally performed by Miley Cyrus which Joe definitely made a better job of.

I didn’t feel as though there was much talent in this year’s X Factor. I found myself rooting for two or three people last year which sadly wasn’t the case this season. However, of all the contestants on the show – I do believe the right winner won.

Whilst he has a fantastic voice, I have to say that I don’t think Joe’s mainstream music material and I predict he won’t be as successful as Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke. Having said that, I think he’s got a bright future ahead of him in London’s West End – congratulations Joe.
