Christine Completes English Channel!

BBC One Show presenter Christine Bleakley has done it… she’s managed to raise thousands for Sport Relief here in the UK by merely being pulled along by a boat with a long rope! Who the hell shouted easy-peasy?!

Haha! Ok, ok – I’m joking – this Water Ski challenge looks like really hard work. 31 year old Bleakley managed to cross the English Channel quicker than some ferries, in less than one hour and 40 mins. That’s 21 miles for anyone who hasn’t measured between Portsmouth and France!

On completing the task, she said: “I can’t believe I’ve actually done it. It was really tough.”
Strong winds meant the 31-year-old, who fell eight times during the challenge, faced sub-zero temperatures.

“The water was freezing and having to get up after every fall was exhausting,” the star added.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me along the way, it really kept me going out there.”

I think it’s amazing that people have such determination to do something amazing and raise so much money for such a good cause. Good for her. Amazing job!
