Cher Struggling With Son’s Gender

Cher has revealed that she still struggles with her child’s gender despite the change taking place over a year ago. Cher’s son Chaz was born Chastity but underwent gender reassignment surgery last year and Cher has admitted that she still calls Chaz “her” occasionally by accident.

“If I woke up tomorrow in a guy’s body, I would just kick and scream and cry and f**king rob a bank, because I cannot see myself as anything but who I am – a girl,” Cher told Vanity Fair. “I would not take it as well as Chaz has. I couldn’t imagine it. She’s a very smart girl – boy! This is where I get into trouble. My pronouns are f**ked. I still don’t remember to call her ‘him’.”

It’s got to be a really difficult thing to deal with for both Cher and Chaz – though I’m sure it’ll all settle with time. Speaking of Cher, I’m still mad that she won’t be performing at Caesar’s Palace in Vegas while we’re their for the ReallyRich.com Pacific Tour 2010!
