Beyonce’s Reaction To Kanye VMAs
Beyoncé has given her reaction to Kanye West’s invasion of Taylor Swift’s MTV VMA acceptance speech to O Magazine (The Oprah Magazine) this month.
Taylor Swift managed to sweep the best female video award from nominee Beyoncé, before Kanye took to the stage and announced that Beyoncé should have won.
“Well, I knew his intentions and I knew he was standing up for art. And he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like, ‘You have this award.’ And when they didn’t call my name he was, like, completely shocked,” Beyoncé told O Magazine.
“When he walked on the stage, I was like, ‘No, no, no!’ and then he spoke, and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no!’ But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment – and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.”
Beyoncé I don’t know who your PR Person is but I think you should have at least acknowledged that Kanye’s behaviour was wrong – it seems to me the rest of the world has…

I agree, I understand that Beyoncé is probably friends with Kanye or perhaps doesn’t want to get involved but sadly – she is. Just took a look at the article you posted and I think it’s great – especially the end with the quotes from other celebrities!

I think it’s good that Beyonce has remained neutral to everything that happened. I’m sure she doesn’t need to actually say that Kanye’s actions were wrong, she did that by allowing Taylor to give an acceptance speech in her place.
I do agree with you Louise, to an extent – and you’re right, she did give up her acceptance speech for Taylor. I love Beyoncé to pieces but I just think sometimes she needs to speak out and not be so ‘perfect’. Not everyone will agree of course!
