Are Velvet Dresses Back?

This season sees the return of two past fashions – velvet and body-con. So it’s no surprise that fashion retailer, Topshop, combined the two together and introduced velvet body-con dresses to their range (and just in time for London Fashion Week too!)

It’s certainly worth noting the current trend of scoop necks and long sleeves in women’s dresses this season, which are perfect for all you women who are conscious about your arms but confident when it comes to your bust.

I’m not convinced by the return of velvet and I would advise caution when deciding whether or not to take up the new trend. Velvet is one of those materials that only certain women will pull off successfully…just don’t let this Autumn fashion-fad become your fashion failure!
