3D Burberry Fashion Shows
Well I never thought I’d say this, but Burberry seem to be jumping on the 3D cinematic bandwagon in an attempt to broadcast their fashion shows in 3D!
First movies, then football and now fashion…what’s going on people! After the amazing success of James Cameron’s sci-fi blockbuster, Avatar, it seems that people are simply going gaga for 3D viewing.
After last week’s announcement that the London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2010 show will be streamed live online, Burberry are taking it all a step further by broadcasting their show using 3D technology in New York, Paris, Dubai and Tokyo on the 23rd February.
Christopher Bailey, the brains behind the venture said, “We are very excited to announce that we are hosting the first ever truly global fashion show. This unprecedented event will enable people to experience the energy and atmosphere of this event from around the world.”
If you aren’t luck enough to be a Burberry VIP, don’t panic – you can watch the show live from the internet on Burberry’s website! As for this whole 3D business…I think it’s going too far now, wouldn’t you agree?
