OK girls, nobody wants a face like an old leather handbag and since I’ve had a lot of e-mails asking if I can recommend a moisturising cream to keep those nasty lines and wrinkles at bay…here is a review of the cream I use: L’Oreal Wrinkle Decrease Collagen Replumper.

I’ve tried a fair few mid-range moisturisers and I find the Collagen Replumper to be one of the best. I suffer from lines of my forehead (probably because I spend most of my day laughing) and after about a month of slapping on the day cream when I wake up and the night cream before bed, my laughter lines were noticeably reduced.

Dermatology experts recommend moisturising your face from the age of twenty to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles but it’s never too late to start! Remember to massage the cream into your skin with your fingertips, ensuring you smooth upwards (against gravity) for optimum results.

A friendly word of warning is that whatever these creams, potions and lotions offer; the truth of the matter is they are not made from miracles. A lot of creams on the market (particularly L’Oreal Collagen Replumper) will certainly help reduce visible signs of lines and wrinkles, but it will in no way make them disappear completely. The other sad thing is it’s not a one-time fix, you must continue to apply the cream every day or expect those unwanted lines to be back with a vengeance!
