How To Get Good Skin
Having beautiful skin is what makes us happy and confident about ourselves, which in my opinion is absolutely priceless. You don’t need to worry about special treatments, permanent hair removal or cosmetic surgery because everything you need to know about great looking skin is all here – tried and tested by me.
1. Drink Water
You hear it time and time again…drinking water helps this, drinking water helps that. But when it comes to your skin, water definitely is key to a flawless complexion. Nutritionists recommend the average adult should drink a minimum of two litres of water a day and I can certainly back this up from my experience. I’ve found that when I drink a lot of water my skin is so much clearer, smoother and less prone to blemishes. So the proof is in the pudding…or water – get filling those glasses girls!
2. Watch What You Eat
Chocolate, alcohol, take outs…they’re all full of nasty ‘cloggy’ ingredients that’ll wreak havoc amongst your pores. I’m totally not saying that you should give up these treats – but definitely try and balance them with something good. Fruit and veg will certainly help to counter your indulgence. Just think of it this way, for every bar of chocolate you eat, try and have a piece of fruit to balance it…a glass of water wouldn’t be a bad idea either!
3. Wash Your Face Twice A Day
This seems totally obvious but it’s amazing how we can easily forget to wash our faces when we’re dashing out the door in the morning, or after a night out on the town when all we want to do is crawl into our beds. Don’t make excuses – just make sure you wash your face at least twice a day…more if possible, it’ll certainly help achieve the perfect complexion.
4. Take Multi-Vitamins
As an additional precaution to a healthy diet, I recommend taking a multi-vitamin tablet every day. You don’t need to buy anything particularly expensive, just a simple pot of A-Z vitamins will do just fine. Take one a day to ensure your skin stays in tip top shape.
5. Hands Off
Whilst the others are relatively obvious, you may not have thought about this. We use our hands so much every day – we type, use hand rails, handle money and thousands of other things which contracts dirt and germs on our hands. Then we touch our faces and bang – nasty skin. Regularly wash your hands and make a conscious effort to ‘unacquaint‘ your hands and face.
