When Should I Sleep With Him?

Hey Mike,

I was reading through your ASK section where you’ve helped a lot of girls and wondered if you could help me with a rather personal question. When should I sleep with my man? We have been together a week now and he hasn’t mentioned sex once – but to be perfectly honest, I feel if I don’t sleep with him soon I’ll end up losing him. I’m mean – who sticks around in a sexless relationship? I just fear it might be too early…

Come on… maybe sex after a week just isn’t something he expects? I know I wouldn’t want to sleep with someone I’m serious about in the first 7 days of knowing them! It seems you are letting this play on your mind when it doesn’t need to and that makes me wonder if you’ve been hurt before by another guy who used sex as an excuse.

All you need to worry about I the sexual chemistry – if that’s alive and kicking you don’t need to worry – as it will sure keep his interest.

I would advise any of my friends to not sleep with their man for the first month of being together – simply because everyone gives in before their target, so why not make it a little longer than it needs to be.

It’s early days Amy, ask yourself if you only want to sleep with him to simply feel secure and what that means about the way you approach relationships.

If you’re serious about each other discuss it – lay down the rules – and don’t be afraid to play hard to get – if you set him the target of a month – he’ll do anything to get there sooner… up to you if you give in or not – just do it for the right reasons.
